Retail therapy...

is such a good thing! Yes I did some shopping as I thought I deserved a little treat this weekend. I nearly bought two jackets, but decided that if I bought them both it was a bit much. But maybe I'll go back and buy the other one on Wednesday!

1 week to go and I'll be at home!!

Friday...at last

Thankfully this working week has come to an end. It has been one of my most stressful and fairly unpleasant weeks so far. I am not planning on going into any details, but lets just say that it began and ended on a low note. If i were to draw a graph it would be up and down full of waves. But hey whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger...right? I certainly hope so. I can safely say I am looking forward to leaving next Friday for a break at home - 2 weeks at home will do the world of good.

Have a good Easter weekend everyone!

I'm back

I have just got back from 2 weeks in Spain with my school. What can I say, it was a fantastic 2 weeks, hard work and quite tiring, but I still enjoyed it. I have got a nice tan as well! We had fabulous weather for 2 weeks straight so I can't complain at all. The photo above is Granada, yes that is snow on the mountains depsite it being above 25degrees every day.

The beginning: Friday 24th March we left for Nantes airport at 2.30 in the morning, and arrived at about 5am at the airport. Our flight was at 6.30am to Paris. We arrived at Paris at about 7.30 and our next flight wasn't until 12.30. I was so tired, as I hadn't really slept at all. We had our breakfast and walked around the airport until we finally got our next flight to Malaga. We arrived at about 3pm, where we were picked up and taken to the youth hostel, where we would stay until Monday. We sorted out rooms, unpacked and had a little tour of the city. There was a church just across from the youth hostel and the first night it chimed every 15mins! It was crazy! We were all going crazy from the number of chimes we heard during the night, plus it sounded like my doorbell in my flat.

Saturday - we visited the Picasso exhibition and then in the evening we met the head mistress of the school we are doing the exchange with, and also another head teacher and 2 teachers. Then we all went to a big commercial centre with loads of shops and amusements.

Sunday - We spent the whole day at the beach and it was lots of fun! That is where my tan really started.

Monday - we left for Granada. In the afternoon when we the Arab and Jewish parts of Granada. It was very interesting and it is a beautiful city. We spent until Friday visiting different parts of Granada, an olive oil factory and a Cathedral. On the Thursday we went to a town called Sabbrena and spent most of the day at the beach, for lunch we all had paella.

The second weekend we went to Seville, from Friday until the Monday. We visited various sites, and on the Saturday spent the whole day at an amusement park. for those of you who know me very well know that I hate amusement parks, as I am afraid of heights and rides. They made me go on a water ride and I was sooo scared! I bought the photo as proof for those of you who don't believe me. We left Seville on Monday and went back to Granada.

The rest of the week we visited more sites, such as the Alhambra (an arabic castle) it was 34degrees so really hot to be wandering around, and Wednesday we went to the countryside for a BBQ with 50 pupils! It was a lovely day, and it was very good fun.

We left the Thursday, with just about all our pupils crying. We arrived back at our flat at 2am, after a whole day of travelling, so we were very tired!

Overall it was a busy 2 weeks, with hardly a spare moment. Sorry I haven't been here to update the blog. I will be back in Scotland on the 21st April until the 4th May. Hopefully I'll see some of you then!!!
