About time...

I do apologise as this new post is rather overdue. Basically after the holidays it got quite busy. I now work 19hrs a week, as in I am in a classroom, I have Wednesday as my day off and work the other days. I am leaving for Spain in 2 days, with my school on an exchange. I think it'll be fun but also quite tiring. It rained so much for the first week and a half after the school holidays, but last week it was lovely and sunny, and even a lot warmer. I went to the beach on Sunday and Monday for a walk, as Monday was an inservice day and it wasn't necessary that I went. It was lovely and warm, had the sunglasses out and even a summer jacket on! Woke up this morning and it was absolutely pouring of rain! Life is still really good here in France, although I have a bit of a problem as what to do in the Easter Holidays. I may be returning back to sunny Scotland for 2 weeks, but I'm not sure yet. So look out Kim maybe about. Al and Lyndsay have booked their tickets to come and visit me in May, so I am very excited! Can't wait until they visit! Time is moving so quickly, these next few months are just going to fly past I think. I have started my 2nd essay, although have not even attempted the reading for 4th year, I am doing a study on Bretagne as a region. It is very interesting! Mike not sure when you will be back in écosse? But I think I am going to be back in July, as I have decided I'd quite like to stay until the end of the year. Seeing the year out means closure for me. I am not looking forward to being a pupil again next year - the opposite side of the desk! I prefer being the one giving the tests...born to be a teacher eh?

Holidays

It's been a while since I last posted something and that was because I just got back yesterday from a being away. I went to a different part of Bretagne with one of the English teachers and her family. We stayed with her family-in-law, and I had great fun playing with her 3 kids. My French definately improved, as I now understand kids language a bit better. We went to the beach and went for walks, although it was very cold. No sign of any proper snow yet. I ate something called a gallette de saucisse, which is a crepe or pancake (except they are not sweetened) wrapped around a sausage. It was very nice actually. My new name is King as the little girl had difficulties with my name, and avoided saying my name for the whole weekend, then suddenly on Monday she came out with King, which is quite funny as it is an English word. It is close enough to Kim. So I have 4 days of holidays left, then back to school. I haven't really started my 2nd essay, so still have a lot of work to do. But I'll get there eventually. Like Mike I am taking full advantage of this experience. It is a nice day today, so I went to the market. I love French markets, we don't really have a market like that at home. Looks like a day of not doing very much for me. Roll on next week!
